El evento tendr\u00e1 lugar el mi\u00e9rcoles 18 de 2021 a las 3 pm (GMT + 2)<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\nSi bien COVID-19 contin\u00faa creando enormes desaf\u00edos a corto plazo para el planeta, el cambio clim\u00e1tico plantea lo que probablemente sea la mayor amenaza a largo plazo para las vidas, los medios de vida y las sociedades.<\/p>\n
A finales de este a\u00f1o, los l\u00edderes mundiales se reunir\u00e1n en la COP26 con el fin de exponer las acciones que tomar\u00e1n para reducir las emisiones y adaptarse a los impactos del cambio clim\u00e1tico. Las bibliotecas, como poseedores de colecciones que est\u00e1n cada vez m\u00e1s expuestas a estos impactos, tienen un gran inter\u00e9s en el \u00e9xito.<\/p>\n
Pero tambi\u00e9n pueden contribuir a ello, desde la investigaci\u00f3n necesaria para comprender el cambio clim\u00e1tico, hasta el cambio de comportamiento en las poblaciones que necesitan responder.<\/p>\n
En la segunda parte de nuestra Sesi\u00f3n Presidencial 2021, la Presidenta de la IFLA, Christine Mackenzie, hablar\u00e1 con representantes de otras partes interesadas, en el gobierno local, la sociedad civil y la comunidad de activistas clim\u00e1ticos, con el apoyo del Secretario General de la IFLA, Gerald Leitner.<\/p>\n
