Desde 2001, es catedr\u00e1tico de Antropolog\u00eda y Geograf\u00eda en la City University of New York (CUNY) y Miliband Fellow de la London School of Economics.<\/p>\n<p>Es uno de los ge\u00f3grafos acad\u00e9micos m\u00e1s citados y autor de numerosos art\u00edculos y libros de gran influencia en el desarrollo de la geograf\u00eda moderna.
