La Conferencia de las Partes de la Convenci\u00f3n Marco de Cambio Clim\u00e1tico<\/a> (COP25, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s), se celebrar\u00e1 del 2 al 12 de diciembre en Madrid, espacio IFEMA. La Plataforma Global por el Derecho a la Ciudad (PGDC) participar\u00e1 en esta cumbre para llevar la voz de la sociedad civil y la importancia de la realizaci\u00f3n de los derechos humanos relativos al h\u00e1bitat – el derecho a la tierra, la vivienda y el derecho a la ciudad – tanto en el evento oficial como en los foros De Santiago de Chile a Madrid<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

El presidente de Chile Sebasti\u00e1n Pi\u00f1era cancela la COP25 de forma unilateral y sin consultar con la sociedad civil.<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Tras la represi\u00f3n sufrida por la ciudadan\u00eda chilena en las \u00faltimas semanas, el presidente chileno cancela la COP25 y el Foro de Cooperaci\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica Asia-Pac\u00edfico (APEC) en un intento de esquivar la atenci\u00f3n internacional. Muchas organizaciones de la sociedad civil chilena hab\u00edan manifestado su voluntad de que estos eventos internacionales sirvieran como oportunidad para aumentar la presi\u00f3n sobre el gobierno chileno frente a las vulneraciones de derechos.<\/span><\/p>\n

El presidente espa\u00f1ol en funciones, Pedro S\u00e1nchez, ofrece Madrid como sede de la COP25, permitiendo con ello que Pi\u00f1era desv\u00ede la atenci\u00f3n de las demandas de la sociedad civil PGDC en la Cumbre del Clima<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

lA pgdc se une a la solidaridad con la sociedad chilena y con las organizaciones que llevan meses planificando encuentros alternativos para poner en el centro la justicia clim\u00e1tica y la voz de Latinoam\u00e9rica. Apoyaremos y llamamos a continuar con la Cumbre de los Pueblos<\/a> y la Cumbre Social por la Acci\u00f3n Clim\u00e1tica<\/a> en Chile y en Madrid.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
