La Igualdad de G\u00e9nero es clave en la lucha por el \u00abDerecho a la Ciudad para todes\u00bb.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

El D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer, el 8 de marzo, y todo este mes, marcan un momento clave en la lucha feminista en todo el mundo. La igualdad de g\u00e9nero es uno de los ocho componentes del Derecho a la Ciudad<\/a><\/span><\/strong> y uno de sus elementos clave. No puede haber Derecho a la Ciudad sin igualdad de g\u00e9nero. Desde la Plataforma Global por el Derecho a la Ciudad (PGDC) luchamos por ciudades y asentamientos humanos que adopten todas las medidas necesarias para combatir la discriminaci\u00f3n contra las mujeres y las ni\u00f1as en todas sus formas; por ciudades\/asentamientos humanos que tomen todas las medidas adecuadas para asegurar el pleno desarrollo de las mujeres y las ni\u00f1as, garantiz\u00e1ndoles la igualdad en el ejercicio y realizaci\u00f3n de los derechos humanos, y una vida libre de violencia.<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

\u00danete al manifiesto<\/a> de la PGDC por el Derecho a la Ciudad\u00a0de las Mujeres elaborado por su Grupo de Trabajo de Mujeres, G\u00e9nero y Diversidades, y apoyado por 29 l\u00edderes y representantes sociales, acad\u00e9micos, pol\u00edticos y de base a nivel internacional. El documento responde a la pregunta \u00ab\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 hablamos del Derecho de las Mujeres a la Ciudad?\u00bb con 11 puntos centrales para garantizar el Derecho a la Ciudad de las Mujeres.<\/strong><\/p>\n

El Derecho a la Ciudad de las Mujeres tiene un valor pol\u00edtico y te\u00f3rico. Pol\u00edtico por la capacidad de transformaci\u00f3n y te\u00f3rico por la necesidad de construir argumentos, conocimientos, para promover esa necesaria acci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica. La visi\u00f3n de g\u00e9nero y feminista es esencialmente transversal y toca todos los componentes del Derecho a la Ciudad y del trabajo de la PGDC.

The International Women's Day (IWD), on March 8, and this month as a whole mark a key moment in the feminist struggle around the world.\u00a0Gender equality is one of the\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>eight components of the Right to the City<\/a> <\/span><\/strong><\/span>and one of its key elements. <\/span><\/em>There can be no Right to the City without gender equality. <\/strong><\/span><\/em>From the\u00a0Global Platform for the Right to the City (GPR2C) we fight for cities and human settlements that adopt all necessary measures to combat discrimination against women and girls in all its forms; for cities\/human settlements that\u00a0take all appropriate measures to ensure the full development of women and girls, guaranteeing them\u00a0equality in the exercise and realization of human rights, and a life free of violence.<\/span><\/em><\/h4>

The document responds to the question \u201cWhy do we speak of Women\u2019s Right to the City?\u201d with 11 central points to ensure the Right to the City of Women.<\/strong><\/p>

The Right to the City at International Women's Day 2021

Women\u2019s Right to the City has a political and theoretical value.\u00a0Political because of the capacity to transform and theoretical because of the need to build arguments, knowledge, to promote that necessary political action.\u00a0\u00a0The gender and feminist view is essentially transversal and touches all the components of the Right to the City and of GPR2C\u2019s work.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>
