Every year, the Global Platform for the Right to the City (GPR2C) celebrates Urban October, an opportunity to raise our voices about our struggles and initiatives and to join forces for a better world. In 2023, Urban October will kick-off on Monday, 2 October with World Habitat Day and end on Tuesday, 31 October with World Day for the Right to the City.
The topic of World Habitat Day 2023 will be linked to resilient urban economies: cities as drivers of growth and recovery and, in 2024, to engaging youth to create a better urban future.
The topic of World Cities Day 2023 will be linked to financing a sustainable urban future for all and, in 2024, to youth leading climate and local action for cities.
