GPR2C are excited to announce that we shall be participating in the World Human Rights Cities Forum (WHRCF) 2019 in Gwangju, Korea between 30 September and 3 October!

This year, the WHRCF will be centred around the theme: “Local Governments and Human Rights: Reimagining the Human Righs Cities”. The objective of the forum is to find a new role and realistic approach for local governments to better search for and find practical solutions to human rights issues.

WHRCF resonates closely with Right to the City Agenda. Human Rights are the foundation through which a Right to the City should be implemented. We shall be promoting the Right to the City Agenda as a means of manifesting not only human but collective and material rights as well, bringing forward the message that local governments that have made moves to impliment the Right to the City in their framework showcase a demonstrable way forwards in creating Human Rights Habitat at the local and regional level.
