Global Platform for Right to the City ‘Asia Regional Meeting II’ 22­ & 23 July, 2016, Hotel Santika Premiere Gubeng Surabaya, Indonesia.

The Global Platform for Right to the City stems from the need to promote, update, and systemize the Right to the City concepts and criteria, and to mobilize national and local governments, and international and regional organizations toward the creation of a new paradigm for more inclusive, democratic, and sustainable places to live.

The Asia Regional Meeting was a two­ days event focusing on an exchange of experience of policies, projects, and actions on how to implement the Right to the City. It further discussed desired outcomes of the New Urban Agenda in order to localize and prioritize.
