In face of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Fridays for Future collective has postponed all mass gatherings around the world, calling for an “online climate strike” every friday while the global containement efforts are still in place. Beyond continuing with the weekly protests on online platforms, the collective has chosen to release a new initiative to ensure that the current climate emergency is still being debated despite the general global debate being focused on the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Talks for Future is a series of weekly webinars and discussions with scientists, journalists and activists as well as other international high-level experts taking place each friday at 2pm GMT. The first talk has taken place on March 27th and included journalist and activist Naomi Klein and Diarmid Campbell-Lendrum, climate change and health team leader of the World Health Organization.
